Gini reveals how quickly Adrian fitted in at Liverpool
It feels like he's been here for years already, so it's kind of hard to believe that former West Ham and Real Betis keeper Adrian has only been at Liverpool since August.
In that time he's played 11 games for the Reds, with 2 clean sheets and has made some remarkable saves and a massive contribution to our early-season form.
And should the team go on and win the title, the 32 year old has guaranteed himself a medal. Something he can surely have only dreamed of when he was released by the London side in the summer.
But another popular Anfield figure, Gini Wijnaldum, who is currently on international duty has revealed how easily and how quickly the Spanish goalie fitted in at the club.
He told Liverpoolfc.com: "Since the first day he settled quite well.
"He speaks with everyone and he's a good person, everyone talks with him.
"You could see that he was not shy. Normally when players come in they always look, ‘Who can I talk to?' and everything, but he talks with everyone. Before the game, he says what he wants to say.
"Basically since the day he came in he was already one of us."
He made himself an instant hero in only his 2nd game, in the Super Cup, saving a penalty in the shootout, and has been crucial to our start in the Premier League, with 8 straight wins.
And Gini has credited his ability as a keeper to that 100% start. He continued: "He's done a really good job. If you see the kind of saves he makes, really important saves during the games.
"He also has a big influence on the results we had."
