Fekir's agent drops hint about 'real' reasons for failed move to Liverpool
All in all, he doesn't give a lot away, but Nabil Fekir's agent has been mouthing off again today about the reasons his client didn't move to Liverpool in the summer.
He's also hinted that the supposed knackered knee Fekir wasn't true and that the captain of Lyon could be off to pastures new this coming summer.
Speaking via Get French Football News, Fekir's agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes said: "It is not about staying here. And we will know maybe the real circumstances that prevented Fekir’s move to Liverpool. The knee was a part of it, but not only that. He had passed a medical, done photos with the Reds shirt…"
Fekir has just recently rejected a new contract with his club and it's highly likely he'll move on for much less than we were about to fork out for him last summer.
But even at a few million less, paying to acquire the quality of a midfielder like Fekir, who has so far scored 12 goals and managed to add 7 assists in a Lyon team miles away from PSG in Ligue 1 this season would be negligible.
