Everton's Sigurdsson has say on Liverpool's title chances
While it's quite bizarre that a player that's never been near a title race, playing at a club that hasn't been involved in one for over 30 years, is asked about the title race.
But when you see that it's our local 'rivals' Everton and that Gylfi Sigurdsson has been asked whether he thinks Liverpool are odds on to win their 19th league title, it's not a surprise.
We all know the press love a little bit of shit-stirring, and with Liverpool 8 points clear at the top of the Premier League now we are the target for most of that too.
When asked that question, via Sport Witness, he said: "No, no, so much can happen over December and January.
"Didn’t they have a good head start last year? There are a lot of games ahead.
"Liverpool are very strong, and this was hugely compelling against City. It’s still November, so there’s plenty of time left.
"If Liverpool continue to play as they have been, it will be difficult to catch them, but City can completely get on track and win lots of games in a row."
The Icelandic midfielder was asked shortly afterwards about his own club, who currently sit in 15th in the table, so that will probably have put things in perspective for him.
