Dua Lipa is 'looking forward to a party in Liverpool in May'
When the Reds were about to take on Real Madrid in our first Champions League final since 2007 back in May 2018, young British artist Dua Lipa's career was just starting to take off.
Since then, she's gone on to perform all around the world, winning a few Grammys, amongst other awards, but she still remembers her night of the Champions League final. Something she says gave her a real soft spot for Liverpool and our fanbase.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, she said: "I was very lucky to have the support of people back home right there in the stadium in Kiev. I’m still shocked when watching it back seeing all these fans singing along to my song!
"I’m always extremely grateful for the support. It’s heart-warming and I’m very lucky."
The singer is due to arrive in Liverpool at the end of May, when she will perform at the M&S Bank Arena on the 29th May and is hoping she will be able to catch a game at some point soon, whilst also hoping the Reds can finish the season on a high.
She continued: "I'll definitely come to a game some time.
"My dad, who is a big Arsenal fan but has a soft spot for Liverpool, and my manager Ben, who is a big Liverpool fan, are working out when that can be.
"I’m so happy Liverpool are doing well this year and I’m looking forward to a party in May in Liverpool!"
