Coutinho reportedly offers pay cut in plea to Klopp for LFC return
The transfer rumours are in full flow this morning (well, it is Sunday), as the Premier League nears its return next week.
First up for Liverpool is the old 'return of Coutinho', with a number of publications claiming that Klopp is open to his return and the player wants it. Quite desperately, it would seem.
Via the Liverpool Echo (who cite the Irish paper, Sunday World), Coutinho has made a personal please to Jurgen Klopp and gone as far as offering to take a pay cut to secure a return to Anfield.
Apparently, there are also rumours doing the rounds that Barcelona would be willing to take as 'little' as £40 odd million for the midfielder.
But still, do Liverpool really need a luxury midfielder for that sort of money when we pulled out of a move for Timo Werner for a little more? I fully expect a denial from one of the usual suspects in the next 24 hours.
