Conte wants Inter Milan to copy Liverpool's 'war machine'
The Reds have gone into a new season as reigning English champions for the first time in 30 years, on the back of being reigning European champions for 12 months last season.
Oh, and there's the small matter of us being the reigning World champions as well, something which no other English side have ever been able to claim.
So it really isn't much of a surprise to hear the description former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has for us.
Speaking about his current side, Inter Milan, and what he hopes from the club in the coming years, he said via (Goal): "We must always give 110 per cent to try to get a good result, in addition to the performance.
"We need to work hard. As an example I take Klopp's Liverpool. It was four years without winning - now they are a war machine.
"We are building something important. I don't know if it will lead to winning something in the short term, but I know for sure that it is a right path. Even from the outside, seeing Inter, you get the idea of a solid structure unlike in other years. This gives me happiness."
At full strength there's no question at all that the Reds are without doubt a 'war machine' - a nice new way of putting it - but with our current host of absences from the first team squad we may struggle to reach the same heights on a regular basic.
Then again, we discovered that, in Fabinho, we have a perfectly acceptable (let's be honest, he's world class) centre back that could fill in in the meantime.
