City's De Bruyne chooses Liverpool star as his Player of the Year
It wasn't so long ago that we had a Man City player whinging that we've basically swept the boards, when it comes to players awards, in the last few seasons.
That players was Bernardo Silva, who reckons that there's some conspiracy theory going on that favours Liverpool players.
But Man City's star man, Kevin De Bruyne, has other thoughts on this season's best player. Speaking to BT Sport in a recent interview, he said: "I think he’s been the total package this year for Liverpool. "He’s been important, so if I had to choose somebody I would choose Mane."
Sadio has been one of the real standouts for Liverpool this season, in fact one of the best performers in the country, perhaps bettered only by Jordan Henderson.
A haul of 18 goals and 12 assists in 38 games before the season was postponed marks him out as one of the highest scorers too, and he will no doubt be under strong consideration if awards are given out this year.
