City rivals throw name into hat for Lallana
In a strange turn of events, reports today have claimed that Liverpool's city rivals have thrown their names into the hat for our departing veteran midfield man Adam Lallana.
The 32-year old is due to leave Anfield after the current season ends, and has been linked with a surprising array of top half club, including Leicester City, Arsenal and Burnley but now Everton appear to have entered the running too.
Lallana has played over 170 games for Liverpool in a career that has spanned 6 seasons, but which was sadly curtailed by near-constant injuries.
But Lallana was always a long-time favourite of Jurgen Klopp, who has called on the England star as much as possible. As much for his attitude, as his ability, much like James Milner.
Lallana will leave Anfield with every major trophy you can think of, but it could well be a move across the park, if you believe Mike McGrath of the Telegraph, who reckons Everton are one of four clubs that want the player.
Personally, I just can't see Adam wanting to move to Goodison, after spending the last 6 years at Anfield. If the likes of Leicester are interested, I reckon his style would be better suited at a more progressive club with a manager he's played under before.
