Breaking: LFC open talks for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali
According to reports on Twitter in the past half an hour, from Nicolo Schira, LFC have opened talks with Brescia to sign 18 year old Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali.
The 11-time capped Italian U19 international made his debut for the Serie B side in August of 2017 and has since been given the hefty reputation of being the 'new Pirlo'.
Voted the Serie B Player of the Year in 2018, he has a huge reputation as one of Italy's most highly-thought of youngsters and Schira reports that Liverpool would be expected to pay somewhere in the region of €35 million for the player.
It's not entirely clear when LFC would be planning to bring the player in, but in all likelihood it would be in the summer. The Gazzetta dello Sport reporter claims that Serie A's 4 big hitters, Roma, Juventus, Inter and Milan, are all interested in signing the young midfielder in the summer window so it may be that Jurgen Klopp is looking to steal a march on them all.
