Bayern's Thiago Alcantara to Anfield rumours gain ground
First mentioned last week, when it became clear that the 29 year old would likely move on this summer, it appears that the claims that Thiago could join Liverpool have ramped up.
The Spanish midfielder has been a mainstay at the German giants since joining from Barca in 2013, going on to play over 200 times for Bayern, winning the Bundesliga seven times.
With over 20 major honours in his career, the player would bring a vast array of experience to an already brimming squad, and would add some more quality to our midfield.
The rumour comes from France Football (although, via Sport Witness), who claim that Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer and would 'like to attract' the midfielder.
They also state that Alcantara would find the idea of playing under the legendary German manager at Anfield a big pull, as the next step in his career.
Apparently though, the French outlet are urging PSG to challenge LFC for the player and, in all honesty now, I think it's more likely he'll end up there than Anfield. Although, his contract does end in 2021 so he wouldn't exactly cost us an arm and a leg.
