Bayern have reportedly dropped Thiago price
In an interesting turn of events today, Bayern Munich have reportedly dropped their asking price for midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
The Spaniard is a certainty to leave this summer, at the age of 29, and it's all now about who is willing to pay his asking price.
But at that age, and with not long left on his current deal, it's expected that a bit of hard ball will be played prior to him leaving the German giants.
Liverpool are though to be at the front of the queue, so news from Sport Bild today that the player's current side have dropped their asking price by €10 million will hopefully have interested LFC very much.
According to reports in the last few weeks, that would bring his valuation to somewhere within what the Reds appeared prepared to pay for the player originally.
We will now watch on with interest to see whether Michael Edwards works his magic to bring the player in in the coming weeks, with Liverpool now not in action until 30th August in the Community Shield; just a month away, this coming Sunday.
