Alisson talks about his personal record against Lionel Messi
Over the course of the past few seasons, Alisson Becker has come up against the best player in the world Lionel Messi 3 times for Roma, Brazil and Liverpool.
Of course, on 2 of those occasions, it was a couple of two-legged ties in the semi-finals of the Champions League but Alisson ultimately came through on both those occasions.
That might not seem like such a remarkable achievement, but on the occasion of the two European ties, the Brazilian keeper was already three goals down from the first leg and playing as the underdog.
At the age of 27, Alisson is currently rated as the best goalkeeper in world football, a Copa America winner, a Champions League winner and has yet to reach his absolute peak.
But it's not a surprise to hear Alisson speak so proudly of his so-called 'hoodoo' over the man many regard as the greatest player to ever live.
He said in an interview with Mundo Deportivo: "The truth is that Messi played very well in the first leg in Barcelona (against Liverpool) and scored two goals, but in the return I managed to stop him in some important moments.
"Messi is one of the best players in football history, but I don't think only of duels with him. Both Barcelona and Argentina are two very good teams that have high quality players.
"Luckily, in the last three matches I have been able to overcome him, but the merits are of the whole team: Roma, Liverpool and Brazil."
