Alisson: Barcelona comeback will be with me forever
Liverpool 'keeper Alisson says that the memory of Liverpool's massive 4-nil win over Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final will stay with him forever.
The Brazilian can take a bow for his many great performances in this season's Champions League, particularly the last-minute save against Napoli in the early groups games.
But since that game, when the Reds managed qualification for the knockout stage, the team has gone from strength-to-strength, knocking out Porto, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Speaking to UEFA.com, our goalie said: "I think that anything can change a series of events, in one second or one minute.
"But without a doubt, the save against Napoli was pretty much the last touch of the ball and that save could be counted as a goal I'd say.
"Of course my team-mates played their part as well and that’s what makes it so special, to be part of that group and to be able to help them. They are such incredible players."
The second leg Barcelona tie scoreline probably made it look particularly one-sided but Alisson had some crucial saves to make and, with him, it could've been much different.
He continued: "That memory will be with me forever, it’s a story that I’ll be telling my children and my grandchildren.
"I’m just hoping that we can see this story through, God willing, to get the title, which is our main objective."
